With a foundational education in Graphic and Visual Communications from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (formerly Kwantlen College), my creative career spans over 30 years across the professional pre-press industry and fine art world. Guided by the philosophy that curiosity is key, my work bridges the digital and analogue worlds. I alternate between studio painting, raw plein air sessions, and old-school linocut printmaking. My fine art gallery pieces are rendered in watercolour, oil, and acrylic, while my limited-edition fine art prints are hand-created exclusively using archival papers and premium inks. From seeds to flowers to art, sunflowers are a universal passion. There is a deep, instinctual relationship that happens with a plant when you grow it yourself and then create an artwork from it. The experience is very similar to painting plein air—feeling the fading warmth of the summer sun while knowing autumn is just around the corner. It is a beautiful, repeating season that comes full circle: from seed to flower, and back to seed.
